Local Lampshade Heaven!

I thought there was a real void in the local lighting market until recently when I discovered the shop Love Frankie on St Georges Rd in Kemptown. They hand make beautiful lampshades which are finished in fabric or wallpaper. There's a gorgeous 'of the peg' range or choose to customise an array of lampshade sizes with your own materiel. They also stock design led prodcuts as well as their own range of cushions and homewares. All this and with a very reasonable price tag!

Whilst mooching around the DVD store on the lovely lazy bank hol wkend I noticed that Broken Embraces is now out on DVD. It stares Penelope Cruz in a great strong yet quirky role, its funny and passionate but it’s the interiors shots that you really have to look out for. Here's the YouTube trailer

She has some incredible printed fabrics in wonderful colours... perfect for cushions or trims or brave it with full curtain's...

For a really quick and simple update for your wall try wall decal stickers... they are so fabulous and come in loads of different styles and patterns. At present, I am completely obsessed with wallpaper. Moving into a new place can feel a little foreign, and often we want to make it feel like home straight away, or maybe you want to give your house a stylish update...whatever the reason you might consider wallpapering as part of your household renovation. A modern way to use wallpaper is to cover a single wall using a graphic print. This can provide very satisfying results.
