Bring a little Springtime cheer into your home!

I heard on the news this morning that Spring is officially 3 weeks late. Being a Californian at heart, I can't WAIT for Springtime to arrive and keep checking the plants in my garden to see if they are growing small buds or if any new leaves have sprouted. Ever the optimist, I have even had my first picnic (be it a picnic bundled up in a massive coat--it still qualifies as al-fresco eating)! So while the world outside is slow to warm and days are getting longer; it is time for a little Spring cleaning around the house and why not spruce up your living space while you're at it!

A good way to breathe fresh life into a room and for an easy update is to experiment with a little colour! An accent colour is a colour used in quite small quantities to lift a colour scheme. This works best if it's a vibrant colour. Why not update with a simple cushion, vase or if you're feeling brave, throw a splash of coloured paint on the wall to inject a bit of cheer!

Have a look at these pix below for inspiration...The vibrant shots of a warm, yellow tone green that have been added to this kitchen really brings it to life. Then simply add a couple of design classics such as the Eames Eiffle Chair available at the conran shop and the timeless PH 5 Pendant lamp designed by Poul Henningsen available at nest , and you have a look thats bang up to date for the new season.
